Are you passionate about helping others live safer, healthier, more independent lives? Join our team at Waythrough and support people facing challenges around mental health, substance use, housing or domestic abuse. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change.

About the role

Our Wallace Gardens service provides 24 hour supported living, including accommodation for individuals with mental health needs, helping them to develop the skills required to live independently.

The service consists of six self-contained flats, where you’ll work closely with clients on a one-to-one basis, supporting their recovery journey and promoting independence.

You’ll support individuals with day-to-day living tasks, including medication observation and ordering, while helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move forward in their lives.

This role involves a high level of lone working, with support from the wider team and external partners such as social services.

What you’ll do

  • Support clients with daily living tasks and tenancy-related responsibilities
  • Observe, record and support with medication (training provided)
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals
  • Promote independence, wellbeing and recovery
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning
  • What you’ll need

  • Previous experience or knowledge of mental health (essential)
  • Care Certificate or willingness to work towards this
  • Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins and weekends
  • Confidence in lone working and decision-making
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Compassionate approach to supporting people with complex needs (including mental health and substance misuse)
  • Ability to motivate, support and advocate for people using the service
  • What We Offer

We value the people who make a difference every day. Alongside meaningful work, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package:
