Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality sector, including food service, food preparation, and customer interaction. Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. A passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail are essential qualities for this role.
Duties
* Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests in accordance with established standards
* Assist with food preparation and presentation as required, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
* Set up dining areas prior to service, including table arrangements and condiments
* Clear tables promptly and ensure the cleanliness of all service areas throughout the shift
* Take orders accurately and handle cash or electronic payments responsibly
* Provide information about menu items, including ingredients and dietary options, ensuring guest satisfaction
* Maintain knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and service
* barista duties, including preparing coffee and other beverages with attention to quality
Requirements
* Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable but not mandatory; full training will be provided
* Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
* Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
* A genuine interest in delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
* Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
