Role: Shopify Engineer
Location: London, UK (2 days onsite)
About the Role
Seeking a Middleware Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in Shopify Hydrogen framework and expertise in Golang, ReactJS, AWS services, and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
* Implement UI designs by integrating Figma Mark into projects.
* Develop scalable backend services using Golang, NestJS, and TypeScript.
* Work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases to manage data efficiently.
* Build and maintain GraphQL APIs for seamless data querying.
* Utilize AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, S3, Step Functions, SNS, and SQS to deploy and manage cloud-native applications.
* Containerize applications using Docker for consistent deployment environments.
* Develop and maintain Golang microservices ensuring high performance and reliability.
Qualifications
* Collaborate with frontend and design teams to implement headless Shopify solutions using Hydrogen framework.
* Translate Figma designs into functional components and integrate them effectively.
* Architect, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
* Ensure robust database design and optimize queries for performance.
* Implement and manage AWS infrastructure components to support backend services.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
* Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills
* Experience with Shopify Hydrogen framework.
* Proficiency in Golang, ReactJS, and TypeScript.
* Familiarity with AWS services.
* Experience with microservices architecture.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
* Knowledge of GraphQL APIs.
* Experience with Docker.
