Frontline Technical Support Engineer (Shifts)
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Team: Service Operations
Schedule: Shift patterns
Salary: From £27,000 + 20% Shift Allowance + 5% Annual Bonus (£32,500 OTE)

As a Frontline Technical Support Engineer, you'll be the first responder when systems blink, alerts fire, or incidents arise. Whether you're diving into logs, restoring services, or preventing outages before they happen - you're not just supporting tech, you're keeping businesses running.
What you’ll do
1. Take immediate action on system alerts and support tickets to minimise downtime
2. Implement system changes safely within strict change controls
3. Lead or support Major Incident Management - including incident coordination and comms
4. Investigate root causes, spot trends, and recommend service improvements
5. Keep accurate records and audit trails using ticketing tools
6. Proactively monitor system health and performance

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
7. A problem-solver's mindset with a strong sense of ownership
8. Proficiency in SQL (complex queries) and/or Unix (command-line competence)
9. Strong communication and client relationship skills
10. Fluent in English with solid Microsoft Office skills

11. Experience with tools like AppDynamics, Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie, Citrix
