Position Details
We are offering two full-time, permanent positions (37 hours/week) with a rotational shift pattern from Monday to Sunday.
Role Description
Following a recent retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley as a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker (HCSW).
Team and Responsibilities
The Emergency Department is a dynamic environment. We seek motivated and enthusiastic HCSWs to join our team. Successful candidates should work well within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care. Experience and knowledge in clinical settings are preferred. Applicants from all nursing support backgrounds will be considered if they demonstrate transferable skills.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous hospital or caring experience is essential.
* Experience as a ward-based Healthcare Support Worker at Band 2/3, with a record of role development.
* Desirable skills include vital sign recording, ECG recording, and phlebotomy, but these are not essential.
* Ability to work independently, flexibly, and under pressure is crucial.
* Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
* Support and training will be provided for ECG, venepuncture, and cannulation skills if not already acquired.
