We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the operations of our Collingwood Street Venues, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bars, nightclubs and hospitality, with a passion for excellent service and team management. This role requires a hands-on approach to bar operations, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritises safety and quality service.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily bar operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the bar area.
* Train and supervise bar staff in bartending techniques and customer service skills
* Monitor customer satisfaction and address any concerns or feedback promptly to enhance the overall guest experience.
* Develop strategies to increase bar sales while maintaining cost control measures.
* Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Drive revenue through attentive service, ensuring the team take all upsell opportunities
* Manage departmental costs, including delivering outstanding GP performance
* Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
* Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, cocktail preparation, and food safety practices.
* Previous experience in team management, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and guest relations.
