Responsibilities
Drives strategic initiatives and facilitates the rhythm of business (ROB), creating clarity in ambiguous situations to support prioritization and decision-making across the organization. Executes business plans in coordination with program managers to ensure continuous operations, including in adverse conditions, aligned with corporate governance. Leads strategy execution with internal stakeholders and the leadership team, leveraging deep knowledge of organizational strategy and upcoming deliverables to design complex budgets. Shares goals, objectives, and best practices across Microsoft’s Business Management community, champions culture initiatives aligned with People Strategy, and connects teams to Diversity & Inclusion resources. Manages cross-team projects to adapt to changing business needs and may lead executive communications.
Business Operations
Develops and executes the rhythm of business (ROB), informs process improvements, and partners with senior leaders to define expectations and evolve content that enables business outcomes. Manages stakeholder alignment, reviews process performance, and drives strategic investments and resource planning, including budgeting and forecasting in partnership with Finance. Ensures spend and headcount strategies are aligned with organizational goals, and manages organizational design and performance monitoring.
Executive and Team Communications
Leads executive-level communication, ensuring alignment with business priorities. Develops messaging related to team missions and organizational strategy, and manages tactical responses to crises. Structures communication strategies to optimize leaders’ time, including ghostwriting and content management.
Maximizing/Extending the Leader
Serves as a thought leader and trusted advisor, synthesizing insights to influence leadership and organization. Oversees content creation, manages relationships with senior leaders, and organizes executive engagements. Ensures alignment, follow-up, and effective communication within partnerships.
Organizational Health
Maintains a healthy scorecard, champions culture and inclusion initiatives, and partners with HR to implement company guidance. Drives training and development, tracks compliance, and strategizes on organizational improvement.
Special Projects/Programs
Leads cross-team projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring successful organization-wide implementation and fostering innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business, Management, Computer Science) with significant experience in business management roles OR equivalent experience. A Master’s Degree with solid experience is preferred. Demonstrated experience in global business management roles is advantageous.
