About the Role
An established and reputable law firm in Bolton is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join its busy residential property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal or conveyancing assistant to further their career in a supportive and professional environment, working alongside skilled fee earners and solicitors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team with all aspects of the conveyancing process, from initial instruction to post-completion, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist fee earners in managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds.
Prepare and draft legal documents, including contracts, transfers, and completion statements.
Conduct title checks and searches, and assist with the preparation of reports to clients.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to progress transactions efficiently.
Deal with exchange and completion procedures under supervision.
Handle post-completion matters including registration and SDLT submissions.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Requirements
Minimum 12 months' experience working within a residential conveyancing team (either as a paralegal or conveyancing assistant).
Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
Excellent communication and client care skills.
Highly organised with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficient in case management systems and MS Office applications.
A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
