We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Health & Safety Consultant (Level 3) to join our experienced and talented Health & Safety team in Bristol as part of our Elevate Apprenticeship Programme commencing in September 2026.

Our Health & Safety service delivery includes carrying out site inspections and audits, writing up H&S reports, provision of pre-construction information and design risk reviews while engaging directly with clients and stakeholders (designers, contractors) on a project basis. As an Apprentice Health & Safety Consultant at Ridge, you will benefit from on job learning experiences whilst working on prestigious projects. Our projects are of varying sizes and cover a variety of sectors including large residential, educational, industrial and commercial schemes.
What will I be doing?
• Assist with the preparation of pre-construction information
• Support colleagues at design team meetings
• Set up projects and provide administrative support
• Working under direction to deliver the duties of the Principal Designer
• Once trained - Undertake site inspections and monitoring visits to determine health & safety compliance
• Attend project, design, and other meetings, escalating issues as required by the project plan

* I meet the educational entry criteria set by the apprenticeship provider:
o 5 GCSEs C/4 including Maths and English
* I will be 18+ when my apprenticeship starts in September 2026
* I’m able to start work full time from 7 September 2026
* I have a permanent Right to Work in the UK and do not need visa sponsorship
* I have a valid driving licence
* I am willing and able to regularly attend my home office in person and travel to a training provider on a weekly basis
* I am curious and eager to learn
