We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Pupil Support Worker/Teaching Assistant to join our team at Belmont Secondary School in Rawtenstall.
About the role
To support pupils' emotional, social, and behavioural wellbeing, assist teachers with educational programmes, and support individual and small groups of pupils across a broad curriculum. Responsibilities include preparing materials, occasionally transporting pupils, and supporting behavioural management.
Main Tasks
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural wellbeing.
* Assist in developing and implementing individual educational programmes.
* Support pupils in activities across the curriculum.
* Prepare educational materials and equipment.
* Transport pupils when necessary.
Job Activities
* Work with pupils individually and in small groups.
* Record relevant educational, social, and behavioural information.
* Implement individual educational and behavioural programmes.
* Promote pupils’ social and emotional development.
* Assist with behavioural management and accompany pupils on visits.
Qualifications
* Ideally Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
