Job Description

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop and implement mechanical systems for municipal water and wastewater projects. The role demands strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem‐solving and the ability to manage mechanical aspects of projects from design through to completion.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

* Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time, embracing the ethos of a "one team" culture.
* Take a leading role in the mechanical design and system integration for water and wastewater treatment projects. Oversee all stages of mechanical design, including site surveys, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing.
* Work closely with civil, process, electrical, ICA and H&S teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall project. Provide technical guidance and coordination with internal and external design and project delivery teams.
* Manage the selection and procurement of mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, tanks, pipework) and materials, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations and project specifications.
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure that their mechanical work aligns with project objectives, timelines and quality standards. Ensure subcontractors meet contractual requirements and deliverables.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of mechanical work, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure safety and compliance with established standards.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships from project commencement through to close‑out. Provide technical support, updates and advice throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring client objectives and deadlines are met.
* Ensure the consistent implementation of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures in line with Glanua and client‑defined standards. Address any performance, scope, cost or schedule issues proactively.
