Job Summary
Well experienced Orthoptist with keen interest in Glaucoma and Orthoptics seeking to develop extended role experience.
Responsibilities
Extended Role Specialists deliver advanced clinical care traditionally provided by medical staff, autonomously assessing, managing, and treating patients with ocular disease, particularly glaucoma. They use highly specialised skills to make complex clinical decisions, working closely with ophthalmologists and the multidisciplinary team. The role requires Master’s‑level expertise, leadership in high‑quality outpatient care, and involvement in audit and administrative responsibilities to support safe, efficient service delivery.
