We're seeking a candidate with a proven track record in Accounts and Corporate Tax across diverse industries, showcasing exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with cloud-based bookkeeping solutions are essential. The position offers a mix of office-based, client premises-based, and flexible home working, presenting significant career progression and specialisation opportunities as the business continues to expand and develop. The Role
Core Responsibilities
* Reviewing accounts prepared internally and from outsourced accounting division (predominantly FRS 102 1A standard accounts)
* Preparation of FRS 102 1A standard accounts and FRS 102 medium and large sized accounts
* Preparing fees proposal for new client’s part of business development and onboarding
* Produce draft tax computations and a provision for inclusion in the accounts
* Conduct grant audits
* Supervise and train junior staff and review their work, mentoring then and helping them develop, alongside managing their work allocations and chargeable time
* Managing deadlines for clients
* Manage client communication in an effective manner
* Take on additional projects/responsibilities as directed
* Ad-hoc tasks and assignments
Requirements:
* ACCA/ACA qualification
* 5+ years of proven experience in accounts
* Proficiency in Excel and advanced data analysis skills
* Solid understanding of VAT, Personal Tax and Corporate tax
* Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills
* Highly enthusiastic and self-motivated
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently
* Experience of Grant and Solicitors Audits would be preferable but not essential
* Ability to drive would be useful but not essential
The Nitty Gritty
* Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based)
* Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday
