We’re looking for a Multimedia Commissioner to join our newly formed Commissioning Marketing team. The role is responsible for understanding what priority audiences want and commissioning content that meets those needs. You’ll commission across a range of media platforms- including video, podcast and digital- focusing on channels beyond our own NT owned platforms, working with external partners, contributors, agencies and freelance production support, alongside internal teams. You’ll work closely with other central directorates to shape content ideas and ensure they are audience-relevant, imaginative, creative and support our evolving brand tone and style. What it's like to work here The Commissioning Marketing Team exists to lead the commissioning, convening, and co-creation of impactful, audience-led content, editorial, and publishing materials that deepen engagement with both existing supporters and new audiences. The team shape and champion the vision and approach for commissioning content and publishing, ensuring that every piece of work is inclusive, culturally and socially relevant, aligned with our mission, and ultimately inspires action. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You’ll commission content across a range of evolving thematic areas and on multiple audience-facing platforms, ensuring it’s rooted in audience insight, is creative, imaginative and support our strategic ambitions. You’ll grow our brand presence beyond our owned channels by working with external partners to shape ideas that reflect the diversity, values and tone of the NT’s charitable ambition. You’ll track and analyse content performance to feed future commissioning. Who we're looking for Applications from redeployees are assessed against the minimum criteria for the role.
