Band 6 Supply Chain Manager

The Band 6 Supply Chain Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that high-quality, cost-effective products and services are delivered to clinical and operational teams across the organisation. Working within the GWH and BSW ICs, this role focuses on maintaining efficient management of targets, inventory control, procurement planning and supplier relationship management, as well as maintaining the S4S standards.
The postholder is responsible for ensuring that materials and equipment are available when needed to support safe patient care, while also contributing to financial sustainability and continuous improvement in supply chain performance.
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee day-to-day supply chain operations including procurement coordination, stock management, and data analysis to identify areas for optimisation. They will liaise closely with clinical, operational and finance colleagues to understand service needs and ensure stock availability without excessive waste. The role involves managing supplier performance, maintaining and improving KPI's, and supporting product rationalisation initiatives. The postholder will also lead on resolving supply issues, maintaining accurate systems data, implementing improvements to processes, and supporting junior staff in their development.
