Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our financial processes and will involve working closely with other departments to support overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.
* Process accounts payable, including verifying invoices and preparing payments.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
* Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
* Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payment of staff salaries.
* Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
* Assist in the implementation of accounting software systems as required.
Skills
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
