Key Responsibilities
Assemble PCBs (both surface‑mount (SMT) and through‑hole components) using soldering techniques and small hand tools.
Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and bills of materials to ensure correct component placement and orientation.
Perform inspection and testing of PCB assemblies, e.g. functional testing, visual inspections, solder joint quality, possibly via inspection tools (magnifiers, microscopes, etc.).
Assist in setting up and operating basic PCB assembly machinery (e.g. pick‑and‑place, screen printing, solder paste application, wave or selective soldering) if required.
Carry out rework or repair of defective boards or components; replace or re‑solder components as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of assembly, test logs, and defect records.
Monitor component stock, ensure parts are available, and notify purchasing or stock control of shortages.
Follow health and safety, cleanroom (if applicable), and environmental procedures, including safe handling of chemicals and disposal of waste.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work area; support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve throughput, and raise quality.
Work cooperatively with engineering, quality control, and production teams to resolve issues and improve product yield. Skills & Experience
Basic soldering skills; experience with SMT or through‑hole assembly is an advantage.
Good eye for detail; ability to inspect small parts and detect faults.
Comfortable working with electronic components and small tools.
Ability to read technical drawings, component labelling, schematics or board layouts.
Good manual dexterity and steady hand.
Basic understanding of quality standards in electronics manufacturing (e.g. IPC‑610 or similar) desirable.
Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and follow instructions.
Flexible attitude to working hours, possible shift work, and overtime when required
