Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Food Production Operative based at our production unit, Farm Fresh in Cross Hands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Production Manager you will be required to prepare and produce bakery items such as pies, pasties and sausage rolls. Duties will include:
1. Prepare and produce food product in a controlled environment as per daily orders in accordance with food safety standards
2. Ensure that recipes are adhered to and that no deviation occurs at any time
3. Adhere to Health and Safety practices and observe Health and Safety standards as per current legislation
4. Follow and monitor a daily and weekly cleaning schedule
5. Maintain stock rotation in accordance with correct storage of food products
6. Observe the correct method and implementation of packaging and labelling
7. Ensure all company traceability procedures are adhered to
Previous bakery experience is desirable, especially the use of Rondo or Mateline machines.

8. A full-time position, Monday and Friday 07:00-16:00
9. £27,705.60 per annum
10. 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. You may be required to work some Bank Holidays.
