Working in the Industrial Management team and in support of key strategic projects the role is focussed on developing and deploying new processes and technologies to drive forward the management of assets through the supply chain and life cycle from purchase through to disposal.
Within this role you will be developing tools and systems that interface with internal and external sources to maintain reliable information on cylinder information for both original manufacturing data and ongoing periodic retest data.
With over 750,000 cylinders in the supply chain, management of industrial data associated with asset location is critical for ensuring customer service, tracking availability and optimising their utilisation and investment planning. The role will select appropriate tools and coordinate the logging and capture of information for assets across all depots.
The role will provide an operational interface into a strategic project introducing a new ERP system, establishing a database of information on assets and assisting with the development of technologies and processes for ongoing tracking of assets through the supply chain.
* Define minimum data capture requirements and format for asset tracking to support ERP Go-Live - such as product information, size and unique identifiers.
* Define method and process for capturing data on asset information requirements.
* Train team in data capture process.
* Deploy, lead and monitor the data capture process in line with objectives.
* Using appropriate metrics, report on progress to relevant stakeholders gaining support as required.
* Drive full data capture requirements and propose methods for Post ERP Go-Live.
* Support the ERP project in the definition of tools and processes for efficient and effective asset tracking across the supply chain at key transactional points.
* Document the requirements for data collection for assets undergoing periodic inspection.
* Evaluate suitable digital tools for capture of information in line with Inspection Body operating requirements - both from internal and external sources.
* Select and implement appropriate digital tools and technologies.
* Train staff in the use of tools and manage deployment.
* Define and develop reports and metrics for monitoring.
* Propose plans for future development of asset information and interface controls between ERP and Inspection systems.

Are you a MATCH?
* Degree in Industrial Engineering/Industrial IT Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
* Introduction of industrial digital tools and systems.
* Understanding of supply chain processes from order creation to delivery.
* Strong communication and presentation abilities
* Demonstrated ability to build strong networks both internally and externally.
* Experience of ERP systems.
* Introduction of new manufacturing processes and systems. (desirable)
* Experience of SAP ERP system Production Planning and Materials Management. (desirable)
* Experience of tracking systems and technologies. (desirable)
