Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turner to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Fanuc-controlled machines and Sliding Head (Star) CNC lathes, producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
* Set, operate, and program CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls
* Work on Sliding Head machines (Star preferred)
* Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Produce precision components within tight tolerances
* Perform tool setting, offsets, and program adjustments
* Conduct in-process inspection using measuring equipment
* Ensure quality and meet production deadlines
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Turner
* Strong experience with Fanuc control systems
* Experience with Sliding Head machines (Star preferred)
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Experience in precision engineering / aerospace / automotive preferred
* High attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and in a team
Location: Unit 3, Enfield Court, Nuffield Road, PE27 3NJ, St Ives, United Kingdom
Salary: 18.5 to 20.5 GBP per hour (depending on experience)
