Key accountabilities:
1. Maintainappropriate CHECKstatus andrequiredSC/DV clearancein accordance withNCSC scheme standards.
2. Plan and execute technical security assessments aligned with CHECKmethodologyand clientobjectives.
3. Produce clear, concise, and high-quality technical reports that explain findings, articulate risks, and prioritise remediation.
4. Contribute to internal security research projects and skill development during non-billable time.
5. Follow internal processes and quality standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
6. Travel to client sites for engagements asrequired.
7. Deliver client-facing workshops and articulate testing methodologies and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Provide scoping support and pre-sales technical advice whereappropriate.
9. Mentor junior consultants and adjacent teams to help grow internal capability.
10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of NCC Group’s methodologies, tooling, and delivery models.
Functional and technical skills:
Essential:
11. Current CHECK Team Leader accreditation:
12. CTL-WEB and/or CTL-INF
13. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
14. Solid understanding of core cyber security principles and penetration testing methodologies.
15. Ability to produceaccurate, well-structured, and client-ready technical documentation.
Desirable:
16. Experience delivering engagements across UK Government departments or regulated sectors.
17. Familiarity with consultancy environments, including customer communication and pre-sales support.
18. Strong communicationskills with the ability to translate technical risk to non-technical stakeholders.
19. Proficiencywith a wide range of security testing tools, exploit frameworks, and manual testing techniques.
20. Knowledge of cloud technologies and security frameworks, such as:
21. AWS Well-Architected Framework
22. Azure and GCP best practices
23. CIS Benchmarks
24. Experience designing or reviewing secure solution architectures.
25. Industry certifications such as OSCP, CREST, or equivalent.
26. Agile certification or experience working in agile delivery environments.
