About the role:
Stratton Mills Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Childrens Residential Agency Support Worker to join our expanding social care team on a zero hour contract basis.
This Childrens Residential Support Worker role offers flexible agency work across a range of residential homes supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, and complex needs.

The Role Childrens Residential Agency Support Worker Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people
Promote independence, life skills, and positive behaviour
Support children with routines, activities, appointments, and education
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing residential environment
Follow safeguarding procedures and company policies at all times
Complete accurate daily logs, incident reports, and handovers
Work alongside permanent staff and multi-agency professionals
Adapt confidently to different residential homes and teams
Every Childrens Residential Support Worker plays a key role in ensuring children feel safe, supported, and valued.
Essential Requirements Full UK driving licence (essential)
Minimum 6 months experience within the UK social care sector (mandatory)
Experience can be gained in childrens residential homes, adult residential homes, care homes, supported living services, hospitals, or other regulated social care environments
Enhanced DBS (can be processed through the agency)
Flexibility to work day shifts, night shifts, and sleep-ins
Willingness to travel between services
Desirable Direct experience working in a childrens residential setting
Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
What We Offer Our Childrens Residential Agency Support Workers £12.50 per hour
£50 per sleep shift
Accrued holiday pay paid in addition to hourly rate
Mileage and travel allowance
