ROLE- Draughtsman
LOCATION- Gloucestershire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience
My client is a specialist product designer and manufacturer. They are looking for a Draughtsman to join their team in Gloucestershire on a permanent basis.
The Draughtsman will ideally have the following attributes:
* HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Design, Engineering or similar
* 0-3 years' or more of experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation position
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication and welded parts
* Be proficient using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD
* Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Proficient using MS Office
* Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
* Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The Draughtsman role will involve:
* Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
* Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements
* Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements
* Liaising with manufacturing providers
* Being involved in final assembly of products
* Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
* Updating 3D models and drawings
* Checking drawings for sign off
* Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
