Overview
Prospectus is excited to be working with our client, a global charity that uses hospital ships to deliver free healthcare to people in some of the poorest countries in the world. Since 1978, they have visited 55 countries providing services worth more than £1.2 billion. The UK raises £9 million a year to support the organization, funding surgeries, education, and local partnerships, and volunteers with medical, maritime and other skills crew the world’s largest charitable hospital ships.
This newly created individual giving officer role is offered on a permanent full‑time contract, salary £29,000–£35,000 per annum, with flexible hybrid working arrangements at the Stevenage office.
Responsibilities
* Lead day‑to‑day delivery of legacy stewardship, supporter journeys and mid‑level donor care.
* Support the Individual Giving Manager with mid‑level and retention campaigns.
* Build and maintain relationships with mid‑level donors, ensuring a personalised and engaging experience.
* Strengthen supporter relationships to enable the IG Manager to concentrate on acquisition and retention campaigns.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience in individual giving, supporter journeys and legacy fundraising.
* Positive, intuitive learner with willingness to take initiative and a practical, can‑do approach.
* Strong communication and relationship‑management skills.
* Good awareness and passion for international development and healthcare in sub‑Saharan Africa.
