Senior Test Engineer (DV): Gloucester, Manchester or London You'll be joining an experienced software dev function, working as a Senior Test Engineer within the team, ensuring the quality of software in our many business areas, with a focus on National Security projects. Due to the nature of work on National Security projects, this will be an office-based role, working out of one of 3 key locations in either Gloucestershire, Manchester or London. To be eligible, candidates must currently h old an active DV or eDV UK Security Clearance. The Role: Apply test skills and experience within the context of an Agile software delivery team Responsible for the creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks Define and manage test environments; create and manage test data; define and manage test tools Support estimation of test activities Support test team interactions with the wider development team and assist in the resolution of issues Contribute to the production of test documents using appropriate tools as required Raise defects and support the wider development team in their resolution Manage creation of automated and manual test scripts Produce test and deployment strategies and plans in compliance with customer project guidelines Skills and Experience: Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum/DevOps delivery model Experience of deploying and configuring complex software under Linux/Windows Experience producing test plans and reports using applicable tools Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and demonstrable evidence of relevant test methodologies and toolsets Desirable: AWS and/or Azure Experience of test automation frameworks and tools. Experience of scripting languages and scripting for automation. Continuous Integration Linux system administration Experience of deploying and configuring complex software under Linux/Windows Ability to review and apply different tools and techniques e.g. monitoring, logging, performance testing We appreciate you may not be an expert in every area above - we can support with training and development in some areas!
