Role Purpose

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and inspections across Renaissance Golf Club's buildings, infrastructure, and service areas. The role supports the consistent upkeep, safety, and presentation of the estate, ensuring facilities are maintained to the standards expected of a luxury private golf club.

The Maintenance Technician operates under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and is expected to work in a professional, reliable, and safety-conscious manner, contributing to preventative maintenance programmes and responding effectively to reactive maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Planned & Reactive Maintenance

* Carry out routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance tasks across all club facilities, including the clubhouse, ancillary buildings, plant rooms, and external service areas.
* Participate actively in the club's planned maintenance program, completing assigned inspections, servicing, and upkeep tasks on schedule.
* Undertake basic repairs and maintenance across a range of disciplines, including building fabric, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general works within competence.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns to minimise disruption to club operations.
* Maintain records of completed maintenance and report any issues requiring escalation to the Maintenance Manager.

Spa & Specialty Equipment Maintenance

* Perform regular servicing, cleaning, and maintenance of spa pools, sauna and steam room facilities, and associated plant equipment to ensure safe and hygienic operation.
* Monitor water quality, chemical levels, and mechanical functioning in line with operational and regulatory requirements.
* Report faults or irregularities promptly to the Maintenance Manager.

Property Presentation & Standards

* Maintain fixtures, fittings, and finishes in good condition, ensuring high standards of presentation at all times.
* Empty bins and perform general tidying of maintenance and service areas to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
* Identify defects, wear, or damage and report issues requiring specialist attention or escalation.
* Support the upkeep of a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for members, guests, and staff.

Health, Safety & Compliance

* Carry out all work in accordance with UK health and safety legislation, club policies, and safe systems of work.
* Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly.
* Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.
* Support statutory compliance activities, inspections, and testing as directed.

Support to Projects & Contractors

* Assist with minor refurbishment, repair, and improvement works as required.
* Support external contractors on site, ensuring access, supervision, and adherence to site rules.
* Prepare work areas before and after maintenance activities, maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Communication & Reporting

* Maintain clear communication with the Maintenance Manager regarding completed work, outstanding issues, and emerging maintenance needs.
* Accurately record maintenance tasks, inspections, and works carried out.
* Escalate issues that may impact safety, operations, or presentation.

Required Experience & Competence

* Practical experience in a maintenance or facilities role, ideally within a hospitality, leisure, or estate environment.
* Competence in general maintenance tasks across multiple trade disciplines.
* Familiarity or willingness to learn spa pool maintenance and chemical handling procedures.
* Good understanding of safe working practices and basic compliance requirements.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.

Working Requirements

* Primarily site-based role with indoor and outdoor duties.
* Flexibility required to support club operations, including early starts, weekends, and occasional out-of-hours work.
* Physical capability to undertake manual tasks associated with maintenance activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
