An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a forward thinking and expanding practice in Portsmouth, where innovation and teamwork go hand in hand. This independent, well-equipped practice is a hub of advanced veterinary care with brand new CT facilities, a full surgical suite, and the capability to perform regenerative medicine and referral level procedures all in-house. Their recent expansion, which includes a dedicated cat, rabbit, and exotic clinic, has doubled their space and opened new possibilities for patient care and professional growth.
The team is collaborative, supportive, and deeply committed to clinical excellence. From highly skilled RVNs and a dedicated reception team to an environment that actively encourages knowledge sharing, this is a place where every vet can thrive. Whether you’re looking to develop a special interest or pursue a certificate, you’ll receive full support and funding to achieve your goals.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience, be confident with routine surgery, and enjoy working in a dynamic, progressive environment. Looking ahead, the practice is set to introduce a ‘twilight vet’ rota, ensuring work-life balance for the daytime team while maintaining their commitment to extended care until 11pm with plans to eventually bring OOH work back in-house.
