Are you passionate about driving a culture of continuous improvement? We’re now recruiting a new opportunity for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor in Uddingston. You’ll play a vital role in leading and protecting our people, our assets and partners at Daldowie Fuel Plant. About the role Using your expert knowledge and experience, you’ll lead and advise on suitable risk controls, and work to ensure that the organisation meets relevant Health & Safety legislation and standards. You’ll be accountable for driving a culture of continuous improvement. Working as part of a wider HSE & Governance team, you’ll work closely with our operations, maintenance and engineering teams to provide leadership and promote safety and teamwork across the site. You’ll also be working closely with external bodies including suppliers, contractors and consultants. You’ll be responsible for creating an open “challenging” culture of communication to facilitate learning, motivate individuals and teams alike throughout all stages of the work process to support sustained Health & Safety improvements. Your role will also involve leading the delivery of the behavioural safety programme and attending regular site meetings, investigations, and internal meetings to support the management teams in the delivery of outstanding Health & Safety performance. You’ll keep up to date with changes to legislation and standards where applicable to be able to recommend and develop changes to systems and processes, as well as leading the development and implementation of new Health & Safety processes, procedures and work instructions. This will be a full-time site based position. About you To be successful in this role you’ll have a proven track record of leading and delivering Health & Safety improvements in a similar site-based role coupled with a recognised qualification in Occupational Health & Safety - NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum and be a professional member of a relevant safety or occupational health professional body such as the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or working towards this.
