Proactive Personnel ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer
to work for our client based in the Stoke on Trent area. We are seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing company and support our production team by ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct both planned and unplanned maintenance activities on electrical and mechanical systems
2. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with equipment and machinery
3. Repair or replace faulty electrical or mechanical components as needed
4. Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
5. Document maintenance activities, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment history
6. Collaborate with production team to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules
7. Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
8. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime
Qualifications:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
3+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing setting
Strong electrical and mechanical skills, with experience in fault-finding and problem-solving
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
Strong communication and teamwork skills
This is working a static day shift.
