Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in an exceptional SEN school located in NG10.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Your role will be to assist in delivering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs.
2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support learning objectives.
3. Encourage and promote the social, emotional, and educational development of pupils.
4. Support teachers in delivering engaging and adaptive lessons.
5. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all pupils.
6. Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies as required.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
2. A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting children's needs.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
5. A commitment to promoting equality and inclusion.
6. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable.
