The Head and Neck department are looking for an enthusiastic candidate for the role of Admissions Coordinator to primarily support the daily running of ENT admissions.
The successful candidate will work to provide and manage an efficient and effective administration service.
Main duties of the job
1. Excellent communication and office management skills
2. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise daily workload autonomously or as part of a team
3. Enthusiastic, motivated and experienced in administration
4. Knowledge of RTT
5. Knowledge of 18 week pathway
6. Liaise with patients and clinicians to ensure the waiting list is accurate and theatre lists are booked to capacity

This role is situated within the Head and Neck department, the successful candidate will work primarily within ENT and will work closely with consultants, doctors and clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of services.
The ENT department provides services across all of the Trust's sites, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Andover War Memorial Hospital and Alton Hospital
Our unit in Winchester Hospital provides outpatient, day case and elective services to our patients.

Training & Qualification
Essential criteria
7. Good standard of general Education including English Language, maths of GCSE or equivalent Or ECDL Certificate Or Formal secretarial/senior administration training Or NVQ2 or equivalent plus relevant experience
Desirable criteria
8. Customer Care Training Or similar
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
9. Experience in supervising a team
10. Experience of supervising a team in a large, complicated organisation
11. Experience of developing new processes. Experience in implementing change.
12. Able to demonstrate from previous employment history evidence of job-related achievements and success
13. Experience of performance management
14. Experience/ Knowledge of the 18-week pathway
Desirable criteria
15. Previous experience of using databases
16. NHS experience in an Acute Trust
17. Knowledge of outpatient clinic structures, waiting lists and outpatient operational procedures.
18. Good insight into the importance of NHS performance and quality standards
