Viqu have partnered with a leading industrial technology company who are seeking an experienced Wireperson to join their team, on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role within electrical control panel assembly, offering the opportunity to work on complex, highly regulated projects across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing. You will be part of a wider assembly and test team, contributing directly to the delivery of critical projects.
Key Wireperson Responsibilities:
* Assemble and wire electrical components of varying size and complexity using drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
* Complete mechanical assembly of cubicles and framework, and bench assembly of electrical sub-assemblies.
* Ensure traceability and component identification through accurate completion of assembly record cards.
* Maintain quality standards and rework identified during inspection and test.
* Update electronic issues log and liaise with design engineers to resolve problems.
* Lead a production bay when required, ensuring team adherence to standards.
* Flexibility to support project deadlines and process improvements.
Key Wireperson Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ industry experience in electrical control panel wiring.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
* Strong time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Positive, proactive, can-do attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Eligible for SC Clearance.
