About Jesmond Dene House
Jesmond Dene House is an award-winning 4 Red Star hotel with 2 Rosette Restaurant and Bar, 5 minutes from Newcastle-upon-Tyne city centre. This historic property contains 41 bedrooms, banqueting and private dining facilities as well as all day dining. Our award-winning Head Chef Gareth Rayner is looking for a team member who is able to manage and run a small section within the kitchen. Having previous experience would be beneficial for this role. We are looking for someone with; passion, dedication and a love for food
Key Responsibilities:
* Take responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of preparation, presentation, and service.
* Work closely with the Sous Chefs and Head Chef to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes.
* Support junior chefs through training, guidance, and supervision.
* Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
* Contribute ideas for new menus and seasonal dishes.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality kitchen or similar dining environment.
* Strong understanding of modern British cuisine and seasonal produce.
* A team player with a passion for excellence and attention to detail.
* Relevant culinary qualifications and food hygiene certification.
