We are seeking an experienced and values-led Registered Manager to take the lead in opening a brand-new children s home in Potters Bar. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help build a home from the ground up, starting with one young person and growing to support up to four as a multi site children s home. You will play a central role in developing a safe, nurturing and high-quality environment where children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs feel secure, valued and supported. Your leadership will help shape the culture of the home, ensuring that care is personalised, consistent and delivered to the highest standards. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the home's operation. This includes safeguarding, compliance, staffing, team development, budget management and partnership working. You will be responsible for ensuring the home meets all regulatory and quality standards and is always ready for Ofsted inspection. You will work closely with families, local authorities, schools and health professionals to ensure each child receives care that reflects their individual needs, preferences and goals. IND1 About you You should have at least two years experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities, along with experience in managing staff within a Children s Home. You must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and either have or be open to working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People). A solid understanding of children's home regulations, safeguarding legislation and Ofsted requirements is essential. We are looking for someone who can lead with confidence and compassion. You should be emotionally resilient, highly organised and committed to creating a safe and stable environment for both children and staff. Experience in Positive Behaviour Support and managing behaviours of concern is also important. A full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle is required. You must be willing to work flexibly, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rota covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
