Lead Telecoms Engineer
Summary
Seeking expressions of interest for a potential upcoming project with starts expected towards the end of June. This role will oversee telecom system design delivery for an onshore oil & gas facility, ensuring compliance and integration with other disciplines.
Location and Working Pattern
Woking, UK – Office-based
Responsibilities
* Lead telecom system design including fibre‑optic, wireless, and voice communication systems
* Prepare technical specifications and interface documents
* Review vendor submissions and drawings for compliance
* Support system integration and testing requirements
* Lead design reviews ensuring timely delivery and issue resolution
* Oversee documentation and liaise with other engineering disciplines
Must‑have Requirements
* Demonstrable telecom systems experience for major oil & gas facilities
* Knowledge of IP networking, fibre‑optics, and communications protocols
* Familiarity with FEED and detailed design deliverables for telecom scope
Nice‑to‑have Skills
* Experience delivering projects to Aramco standards (SAES) highly desirable
* Competence in software relevant to telecom network design
