n excellent administrator with experience of managing finances to join the friendly and supportive Research Strategy & Funding Team and Translational Research Office (TRO) in the Medical Sciences Divisional Office in the University of Oxford. This is an exceptional opportunity to support the outstanding and transformative Medical Sciences research at Oxford, with a focus on the translational research that is developing new drugs, medical products and techniques to benefit patients. The candidate will gain exposure to the wide variety of research activity in our world-leading, internationally-recognised Medical Sciences Division. In this role you will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient management of funding for translational research, acting as a key link between the Research Strategy & Funding Team, the TRO and the Divisional Finance Team. This is a varied role with elements of managing internal research funding, supporting applications for external funding and management of the TRO’s budgets. We are looking for someone with excellent project management and numeracy skills who is able to work with high attention to detail and manage their time effectively. This post is offered as an open-ended contract at 0.5 FTE (i.e. 18.75 hours per week), with flexibility over the exact hours and days worked. The Research Strategy & Funding and TRO teams operate hybrid working with on-site anchor days. The role will usually be based with the TRO on the Old Road Campus (currently minimum 1 day/week on Tuesdays).
