Location: Manchester – Full time office based
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)

Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal to join a busy and supportive Private Client team specialising in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and Estate Administration. This role would suit an ambitious individual looking to further develop their legal career within a collaborative environment, with potential progression towards a CILEX qualification, Solicitor Apprenticeship, or Training Contract.
The successful candidate will have experience managing Will and LPA matters from initial client instruction through to completion and will be confident working directly with clients, including elderly and vulnerable individuals. As the role involves visiting clients at their homes and care facilities, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of Wills, LPAs, and related private client matters
* Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date records in the case management system
* Delivering a professional, friendly, and client‑focused service
* Working closely with elderly clients, their families, and bereaved relatives
* Conducting client visits at private residences and nursing homes
* Taking instructions for Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
* Drafting Wills, LPAs, and supporting legal documentation
* Ensuring work is completed efficiently and within agreed timelines
* Maintaining accurate file management and compliance standards
* Preparing routine correspondence and legal documents
* Scanning, photocopying, collating, and organising client documentation
* Meeting deadlines and supporting wider team objectives
* Taking a proactive approach to professional and personal development
* Developing transferable skills across the wider legal practice

* Experience handling Wills, LPAs, and Estate Administration matters
* Strong technical knowledge of Private Client work
