About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you will contribute to the end-to-end design and development of engine components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, durability, quality, cost, and serviceability requirements. You'll work closely with global teams, suppliers, and on-site engineers to deliver high-quality design outputs and support project milestones.
This is a backfill role with immediate impact, joining a collaborative engineering office of around 30-40 team members.
What You'll Be Working On
* Designing and developing engine components and systems for timely production release
* Creating and refining 3D models using Creo
* Leading and supporting DFMEA and DVP&R activities
* Supporting prototype build, testing and analysis
* Conducting materials research and competitive benchmarking
* Working with suppliers on development and performance improvements
* Ensuring high-quality, defect-free design releases
* Preparing technical presentations and documentation
What You'll Need
Essential experience:
* Spark-ignited or diesel engine design
* Product development experience
* Extensive Creo knowledge
* Ability to carry out simple simulation work
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
* 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience
Soft Skills:
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities
* Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving capability
