Here at GXO Peterborough, we are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team supporting one of our new business win with M&S!
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an any 5 days form 7 pattern, with start time at 06:00 or 18:00. Choose what suits you best!

As a Class 1 Driver, youll get:
An hourly rate of £17.43
A 15% shift premium, for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00
Overtime paid at 1.25 of an hourly rate increasing to 1.5 above 60

What you will do on a typical day:
Carry out a mix of single and multidrop deliveries (typically up to 2 drops per shift) across England and Wales, collecting returns and equipment from stores as required, with no nights out
Handle totes, rails and occasional pallets, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times
Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner??????? while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
No more than 6 current penalty points
No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
