Overview
The OUH Global Digital Exemplar Programme is seeking energetic and enthusiastic staff to support the delivery of the programme as a Project Support Officer (Band 4). Full training will be provided. The role is an integral part of the programme and will support the Senior Programme Manager and Project Managers across the four OUH sites.
Responsibilities
Travel to all four OUH sites and support daily programme activities. Proactively and flexibly manage tasks, taking accurate minutes and recording decisions at meetings. Produce clear concise records of actions. Maintain confidentiality of vulnerable patient information and comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
Qualifications
* Great written and verbal communication skills, able to work with OUH front line staff.
* Capability to provide and receive complex information, displaying persuasive, training, empathic and reassurance skills.
* Calm temperament, motivational and conflict‑resolution skills, able to influence and manage resistant change in line with Trust values.
* Diplomatic communication across all staff groups, including those where issues are controversial.
* Understanding of other healthcare professionals’ roles and preferred working methods in OUH services.
* Knowledge of Programme Office duties, change and configuration control and general awareness of electronic solution workflows.
* Demonstrated living of Trust values and relevant behaviours.
* Experience delivering Front‑Line End‑User Adoption Support, minimum of three A‑levels Grade C or above or equivalent NVQ.
* Previous NHS experience and general understanding of patient pathways.
* Experience supporting the adoption of electronic systems and related end‑to‑end workflows on successful projects.
* Knowledge of system test, delivery and adoption, especially in projects involving electronic systems in a healthcare setting.
* Strong attention to detail, ability to prepare and review complex spreadsheets accurately.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills, able to produce formal reports.
* Advanced skills in core Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project.
* Internal applicants must evidence completion of mandatory training and demonstrate a methodical approach to organisation and delivery of tasks.
* Ability to provide an informed opinion on system solutions and workflows that can be open to interpretation.
* Analytical, evaluative and comparative skills to support decision‑making on solutions and workflows.
* Awareness of confidentiality requirements and experience dealing with commercially sensitive information.
* Experience with professional technical or applications change management and configuration control under pressure.
* Initiative, discretion and ability to work independently.
* Capacity to support peers outside the EPR team to ensure adoption of solutions and workflows.
* Follow policies and procedures for own work area.
* Provide general advice to a core team through a changing project programme.
* Capable of assessing and certifying user competence for solutions and workflows.
* Confidence‑building with stakeholders.
* Use of computer software to develop reports, documents and drawings.
* Professional control and dissemination of documentation related to solutions and workflows.
* Experience escalating risks or breaches to IG or security of the EPR.
