Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Near Chelmsford (you must be a driver due to shifts)
Full Time On Site
Working on behalf of our client, a well established organisation based near Chelmsford; we are seeking an experience Multi-skilled engineer to work within an established maintenance team and provide effective problem-solving solutions to keep and maintain facilities/production plant running efficiently.
Hours of work;
Shift work covering the following:
AM shift Monday - Thursday - 6am - 3pm
AM Shift Friday 6am - 2pm
PM shift Monday - Thursday - 1pm - 10pm
PM Shift Friday - 12pm - 8pm
Overtime is offered at the rates outlined:
Time and one third/Monday to Friday
Time and half/Saturday
Double time/Sunday
Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):
* Proactively carry out PPM schedules and reporting on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment.
* Carry out fault finding on manufacturing equipment and be reactive to breakdown repairs/health & safety issues.
* Carry out general repairs to building and facilities
* Carry out continuous improvement plans.
* The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer may be required to carry out reasonable, additional or alternative duties
* from time to time to ensure the efficient functioning of the Company.
Essential Qualifications:
* Must have served a recognised apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical or electro-mechanical basis and have gained a minimum C&G level 3 or NVQ equivalent, BTEC or ONC.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience ideally working within a multi-skilled industrial environment.
* BS7671 IEE 18 Edition Wiring.
Essential Experience:
* Well organised, good interpersonal skills.
* Experience working in a multi-skilled industrial environment.
* Good working knowledge/fault finding skills of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and electrical circuits.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Good working Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations is important.
