Job Title: Colleague Communications Manager

About the role:
We are hiring a Colleague Communications Manager to lead the planning and delivery of engaging, high-quality internal communications across BSI.
This role plays a key part in how we inform, connect, and engage colleagues globally. You'll work closely with senior leaders, People teams, and functional stakeholders to translate strategy, change, and key initiatives into clear, compelling communications that resonate across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced internal communications professional who enjoys shaping messaging, influencing stakeholders, and improving how organisations communicate with their people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and delivery of colleague communications strategies aligned to business priorities.
* Own and manage key internal communications channels, ensuring content is clear, consistent, and engaging.
* Partner with senior leaders and People teams to support communications around strategy, transformation, and organisational change.
* Develop high-quality written content including leadership messages, campaigns, toolkits, and presentations.
* Plan and manage communications calendars to ensure timely and coordinated delivery.
* Use insight and engagement metrics to continuously improve communications effectiveness.
* Provide counsel and guidance to stakeholders on best practice internal communications approaches.
* Line manage or oversee communications support where required and contribute to wider team priorities.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
* Proven experience in internal or colleague communications, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
* Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
* Experience supporting senior leaders and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
* Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* A collaborative, confident, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
* Experience using internal communications platforms and digital tools.
Desirable:
* Experience delivering communications for organisational change or transformation programmes.
* Familiarity with engagement analytics and insight-led communications.
* Line management or coaching experience.
