*About The Opportunity*
Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) sits within the Enabling Services Directorate of Staffordshire Police and the team are responsible for the design, delivery, evaluation and continuous development of teaching products for police officers and police staff; in line with the College of Policing National Curriculum and supporting the priorities of the Force Policing Plan.
Learning, development and CPD are intrinsic to supporting Staffordshire Police's Annual Delivery Plan and L&OD strives to be at the forefront of both Trust Driven Policing and the National Enabling Programme. Team members will work with peers within L&OD, partner organisations, colleagues from regional Forces collaboration and national forums.
The role requires you to embed a progressive learning culture and develop continuous improvement across the Force.
*About The Opportunity*
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to represent Staffordshire Police for Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) and First Aid Training locally, regionally and nationally.
The successful candidate will;
* Maintain and manage L&OD's portfolio of PPST and First Aid training provision, including control of specific course content, techniques and tactics to ensure all officers and staff are training in legal, safe and proportionate use of force.
* Be responsible for managing and developing a large team of trainers and ensure licencing requirements are met for the delivery of training.
* Deliver a robust training plan to ensure all officers and staff maintain mandatory accreditation in line with national requirements.
* Be a nationally accredited SME, to act on behalf of Staffordshire Police, IOPC, Coroners Court and other UK Forces in the use of force.
* Be commercially minded for in come generation, engaging at strategic level.
