Job responsibilities
We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a current UK pin number and a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You will have the opportunity to work 42 hours a week at Cygnet Wallace Hospital.
Situated in a residential area of Dundee, Cygnet Wallace Hospital is a 10-bed specialist high dependency complex care service providing assessment and treatment for individuals with learning disabilities, with or without autistic spectrum disorder, as well as complex needs and behaviours. The team can also support those who have additional mental or physical health needs, as well as those detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act. We accept emergency referrals and the team is experienced in managing them quickly and efficiently to ensure smooth transitions for service users.
The team works towards discharge from the point of admission, creating pathways to the community and promoting independent living. Our integrated care pathways support each individual to reach their full potential.

* Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations
* Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
* Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing
* Ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collaboratively with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals, in accordance with NMC guidelines
* Administer medicines within healthcare procedures and guidelines

You
An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, you'll have:
* The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role
* A good understanding of the latest nursing practices
* A commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage, and reduce risk
* Compassion, resilience, and dedication to empower and support service user independence
* The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
* An interest in leadership, research, and assessment
