GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Dinnington (S25). This is an excellent opportunity to provide personalised support to pupils who need extra help to engage with their learning.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual pupils to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
Prime Responsibilities of 1:1 TA:
* Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis to help them access the curriculum.
* Assist with classroom tasks, learning activities, and homework.
* Support pupils with additional needs, including learning difficulties or behavioural challenges.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence.
* Work closely with teachers to implement individual learning plans.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback on pupil development.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience working with children, preferably in a school or educational setting.
* Understanding of special educational needs and inclusive learning practices.
* Patient, empathetic, and approachable manner.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to motivate and engage pupils in their learning.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
