The Job
Reporting to the MD and managing a sales team of 5, specific responsibilities include:
1. Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitors. Analyze customer needs and assess market demand for products.
2. Meet with prospective and existing customers to identify strategic opportunities for business growth.
3. Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand the customer base.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients for new business opportunities.
5. Review objectives and sales targets regularly, develop pricing strategies, and negotiate contracts.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and have in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services.
7. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and build relationships with stakeholders.
8. Prepare proposals and quotations for new business, customizing offerings based on customer needs.
9. Negotiate and draft contract terms and conditions.
10. Prepare sales and business development reports, analyze data for informed decisions.
11. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, uphold the company's reputation.
12. Supervise and motivate team members, manage performance, and handle people management issues.
13. Support projects and initiatives as required.
The Candidate
* Previous experience as a Sales Director or in a sales leadership role with proven leadership skills.
* Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, win new business, and manage stakeholder relationships.
* Proven sales and business development skills, including negotiation and closing deals.
* Commercial agility to adapt strategies in response to changing circumstances.
* Successful track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
* Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and identify trends.
* Clean driving license and ability to travel for client visits and role requirements.
