Role: Raw Materials Technician
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (2pm – 10pm)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract
About the role
As our Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be responsible for upholding our rigorous quality standards by examining products and materials to verify compliance with both company and customer requirements. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System while providing valuable support to the Technical team in achieving key performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct goods in inspections on all raw materials against the agreed specification and the agreed schedule
* Perform organoleptic testing
* Support with material-related issues
* Deliver, operate and maintain all activities required to ensure food safety, quality, legality and integrity throughout all site production, storage and packaging operations.
* Conducting audits of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), paperwork completion, chiller temperatures and stock rotations, internal systems, hygiene, personal hygiene, Critical Control Points (CCPs) and fabrication on an hourly/daily/weekly/monthly basis as per schedule.
* Conducting micro testing as required
* Validate and verify key food safety, quality and legality processes and shelf life of products through testing and audit techniques. Raise, report and investigate internal and external non-conformance reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Food Safety level 3 (Desirable)
* Food handling and manufacturing experience (Desirable)
* Experience within a similar quality assurance role (Desirable)
* Good organisational skills whilst demonstrating initiative
* Detailed-focus with a high level of accuracy
* IT proficient – Outlook, Word and Excel
