Senior Engineer – Highways / Earthworks (Contract) Location: Lincoln | Duration: 6‑Month Contract | Rate: £55 per hour | Working Pattern: Site‑Based (5 Days) We are currently supporting a live highways road scheme in Lincoln and are seeking a Senior Engineer to support construction delivery on site. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role, suited to an experienced engineer with a strong design background who is comfortable overseeing and challenging works during construction. The Role You will be working on a live road scheme with responsibility for construction‑stage engineering oversight, with particular focus on: Earthworks supervision, including bulk earthworks and cut & fill Bridge and foundation works Oversight of construction activities to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications Liaison with contractors and the wider project team Providing engineering judgement and technical input on site Please note: This is not a ground investigation (GI) role. The emphasis is firmly on construction‑stage earthworks and delivery, rather than logging or GI execution.
