Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an experienced Caretaker to support secondary schools across Southeast London, including Bromley. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, with the potential to work in a variety of school settings.
As a Caretaker, you'll play a vital role in maintaining school buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe, clean, and secure environment for students and staff. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a similar role, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening and locking up school premises daily
Carrying out basic maintenance and repair tasks
Ensuring site safety and security at all times
Overseeing cleaning standards and contractors
Responding to urgent maintenance issues as needed
Requirements:
Prior experience working as a Caretaker (essential)
Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong understanding of site health & safety
