Overview
Our client is currently seeking a highly organised and proactive, friendly and professional Office Administrator / Receptionist to join their team as the first point of contact for the company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation of the office, managing administrative tasks, supporting staff, and maintaining a productive and positive work environment. You will also manage the front desk as needed, greeting visitors, and handling various administrative tasks to maintain a positive image of the company.
This role is full-time and office-based; there is no hybrid work available. Closing date for applications – 2 September 2025. Salary: £25k to £31k dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and friendly demeanour.
* Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate departments.
* Provide basic information to clients and visitors.
* Oversee daily office operations and ensure efficient functioning of office equipment and facilities.
* Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
* Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, deliveries and mail.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents.
* Maintain and update office records, databases, and filing systems.
* Support HR functions, including onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.
* Assist in company events, meetings, and team-building activities.
* Liaise with vendors, service providers, and third parties as required.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Any other duties as required by the Manager.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as an Office Administrator, Office Manager, Receptionist or similar role.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Basic accounting principles is a plus.
Salary : £25k to £31k dependent on experience.
